Is repotting necessary?
At times its necessary to repot your plant. One way to understand whether or not repotting is necessary is by checking the roots of your plant. Pull the plant out of the container and examine the roots carefully. You're looking for signs of rootbound. If you see roots sticking out of the topsoil, if you see roots circling the soil tightly, or the plant is extremely hard to remove from the pot. Then get to repotting asap.
Now if your plant is top-heavy, leaning over, and needing support. This could be that your plant is need of a bigger pot. Also, if the plant’s growth has slowed considerably, the leaves are browning, dropping, or falling off. This could be a lack of nutrients in the soil so repotting with better soil is key.
My main reason for repotting is the poor soil choice that the plant is in when you purchase it. Ive provided a little video below to show you what I mean.
